To increase awareness within the street rod community, the CSRHoF partnered with the Toronto Motorama Custom Car and Motorsport Expo to present the Heritage Award at this years car show. This award was created to recognize a modified and licensed vehicle that is well constructed, safe, street legal and drivable while reflecting a "traditional" hot rod look. A group of renown builders with years of experience unanimously chose Brad Oates of Ashburn, Ontario and his '32 Ford 5 window coup for this inaugural award.

The Canadian Street Rodding Hall of Fame Heritage Award recognizes workmanship, engineering and attention to detail while encompassing the "spirit" of street rodding. That spirit is well defined in the Oates Duece.
